| The graffiti clean up that passed on Sept 29 was short and fun! It was great we got to eat free food. =D
The next event up is Light the Night Walk at Forest Park!! It starts at 5:30 PM and of course, we're going to light up the park and gain recognition for people with leukemia! Please don't forget to sign up online so that they can send you an envelope to collect donations from people. =D It's this Saturday (Oct 13) so make haste!
Also, people who would like to bake or volunteer for the Pep Rally Bake Sale (strictly no wrapped goods, cookies are fine) should email us at keyclubflhs@gmail.com. You can also email us for questions! =D

| SOOO.....end of the year!! last meetings has passed- all that's left is the party on Tuesday May 29. :D WHO'S EXCITED??? lots of food!! all key clubbers welcome!!!
and since its the end of the year, say good bye to the old key club officers! they have done a lot for key club the past year and certainly put in enough effort to keep us going. :D
I'm sure everyone is longing for summer vacation....10 more days!!!

PARK CLEAN UP 5/19 SATURDAY 10AM- 2PM

~~if you have something to do, you may come a bit late or leave early but you have to tell us!!

Meet at Main St. 7 train Underground at 9:45- its not hard to find us, just spot a group of people :D
People coming by themselves can just take the 7 train to Shea Stadium and wait at the end of the ramp.
Painting stuff, cleaning up stuff, "beautifying" the park
AIDS WALK5/20 SUNDAY 8AM-around 12 or 1 PM (we're not going to be walking the entire time, there will be exercises and things in the beginning so its best to come early)

Meet at Main St. 7 train station underground at 7:30
People coming themselves HAVE to register under last name before going to the Francis Lewis HS Key Club booth to meet us there. :) Make sure not to go under Francis Lewis HS or any other key clubs!!
People who still have not registered and are going, please register- and don't forget to print out the sponsor sheet to collect money. People collecting money but not going to the walk, please give the money to one of the officers (Linda, Mimi, Jen, and the other old officers, OR the future officers like Eileen, Justin or me [Lydia])
Some people are asking about where to meet- its not that hard to spot a few hundred people grouped together....People who signed up online should have received an email that the AIDs walk-in where u give all ur donations and stuff is located in 59 Street and Fifth Avenue.

| Just so u know, there IS a meeting on Monday April 30, and Thursday May 3. Please attend- there will be a few announcements. :D
Also, there are NO meetings during next week because that's when AP exams are taking place...just don't forget the dates pleaze!!

the SECOND week of AP tests there ARE meetings 5/14 and 5/17 to discuss group transportation and other stuff. ^-^

Just updating on a few things:
- Meeting this Thursday April 26, 2007. We will be updating on events that will be coming up...
- 4/28, Saturday, 10AM-3PM: City Year Project! This is for painting murals and decorating the elementary school in Long Island City. 36-41 28th street (between 36th and 37th ave), long island city. Take 7 train to Queensboro Plaza then take N or W train two stops to 38 Ave. Walk down to 28 St and turn left- there should be a school there. Try to be there. :)
- 5/19, Saturday, 10AM- 2PM: "It's My Park Day!" at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. You need to sign up for this; or if you can't, just email us.
- 5/20 Sunday AIDS Walk at Central Park. PLEASE register online under Francis Lewis HS KEY CLUB!!! the site is http://aidswalknewyork2007.kintera.org/faf/search/searchTeamPart.asp?ievent=216438&team=1948357
- According to the site, the schedule is:
8:30 a.m. - Sign-In Opens
9:15 a.m. - Aerobic Workout
9:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremony Begins
10:00 a.m. - Walk Begins! - NO MEETINGS IN JUNE!!! :) by then, you'll be craving for the summer so much, you wouldnt even want to come to the meetings.
- by the way, we raised $111 for the QCP walk and $875 for the March of Dimes!! Good job, for those people who donated and came. :D
